Sydney the Owl

from £40.00

Subject Matter:

There is something rather mystical about owls isn’t there? They often symbolize knowledge and wisdom. I always think that mums have to be a bit owl-like, we need to be all hearing and all seeing to keep our little ones safe and protected. Did you know that owls have three eyelids: one for blinking, one for sleeping, and one for keeping the eye clean and healthy.

Print information:

‘Sydney the Owl’ is a print of an original piece of artwork that was painted in ink, Rooibos (redbush) tea and Tetley tea.

This print is reproduced in giclee* on 300gsm Canson Aquarelle paper. I’ve chosen this paper to print on because it looks and feels just like the original painting. The paper is acid free and very age resistant, with minimal chance of fading.

Please note that although I have tried to capture the colours in the photos as accurately as possible, they may differ slightly from screen to screen and in person. If you are interested in purchasing a piece of art (print or original), I would recommend taking a look at it on different devices if at all possible.

*GICLEE: /ˈʒiːkleɪ/ noun / a digital printing process in which an ink-jet printer is used to produce a high-quality art print.
